This Thursday May 21, 2021 at Bright Angels Academy field, GardaWorld announced the merging of two local security companies which are KK Security and Agespro.
GardaWorld is one of the global leading security companies headquartered in Canada, operating in over 20 countries across the world including Rwanda.
With more than 3,700 security staff, GardaWorld is proud to be one of the leading security companies in Rwanda.

The company offers security services to a wide range of sectors including healthcare, diplomatic, commercial and residential security.
It is also very famous in security services to businesses ranging from Supermarkets to retail trade and hospitality.
GardaWorld Rwanda offers integrated security solutions that are customised to the requirements of its clients.

Oliver Westmacott the President and CEO of GardaWorld Security Services in the Middle East and Africa said that the merging of GardaWorld with local security companies is to boost its potential to perform locally and worldwide.
“The successful integration and rebranding of KK Security and Agespro to GardaWorld is a significant milestone in GardaWorld’s growth ambitions for Africa” he said.

William Gichohi is the Country Manager of GardaWorld says that with the merger and under the new brand, they will be among top firms with regard to market share.

“As a subsidiary of a global firm, we will be able to leverage global expertise, skills and capacities and thus boost local capacities” William said.
He added that the adjustments are also a response to market demand by clients who are increasingly seeking services beyond traditional offerings.
Fred Ruzindana, the vice-principal of Bright Angels Academy expressed his gratitude towards how GardaWorld built a field where students can play some games and relax.
“We had no place our students would play, but now our neighbor GardaWorld gave us the field which looks like a stadium, it will increase students‘ entertainment. We are so happy and grateful because this field will also help us host many events.” says Fred Ruzindana

With hope and smiles on their faces, security guards from GardaWorld believe that this merger will not only change their way of working, it will also develop their lives.
Niyomugabo Jean Claude says “This is the best security company because it gives us satisfactory salary and more importantly, our salary comes on time.”
Nyiraminani Agripine is a confident woman who is calling other women to fight their low self-esteem and join this career.
“This job is not built for men only, women can also do it. They have to be confident enough.” said Nyiraminani adding that “to be successful you must have discipline”

To be employed in GardaWorld as a security guard, you have to be a high school graduate and able to speak one of the international languages.
The firm acquired KK Security in 2016 and Agespro in 2020 but these firms remained trading under their respective brand names.
KK Security Ltd which is among the top local security firms in the country by market share provides manned guarding services, canine security, facilities management, cash management among other services.
Agespro on the other hand has about 20 years of experience in Rwanda with a growing market share.
