In the time the world still has chaos on the rights of bisexuals or homosexuals, in Rwanda the number of those that love each other with the same sex keeps increasing.
Among those who allow that they love each other is Mahoro Gaëlla and her colleague Mugisha Hanifah who got engaged but after that everything has not been easy for them.
These girls allow that they do love each other.
They had a conversation with our news paper IGISABO.
The allow for themselves that they love each other and want to get legally married like man and woman.
Although it’s not allowed legally in Rwanda. Hanifah says she proposed to gaëlla Because she was the perfect match for her and she loves her so much .
She continues saying that after proposing to Gaëlla friends and family abandoned them and they were isolated in the society though they think it’s their right to love each other.
Hanifah says that she is happy to say that she loves Gaëlla because she makes her happy in all ways and she is too happy when she’s kissing her.
Hanifah also says that though in Rwanda there’s no law that allows or denies homosexuals or bisexuals they are very common and alot they have alot of friends who live like married couples though they keep in hiding.
Gaëlla as the wife of Hanifah says she is happy to have such a husband like Hanifah because she is never dissatisfied she says she gets all she needs from her and that she would want them to get supported and get married legally.
Hanifah also says that though they love each other but they are not happy because they don’t have freedom of love and that with no freedom no happiness.
She concluded saying that though the law condemns those who want to get married but with the same sex but they don’t have punishment with law and she believes that that’s why they should be granted their freedom.
